My favourite character from this movie is Kirsten Dunst as Mary; she somewhat reminds me of Marilyn Monroe in ways of being an extremely lovely "dumb blonde". Mary constantly attempts to make herself look smart by stating random famous quotes at random moments. But I would say that those quotes are one of minor factors of completing this film entirely.
My favourite scene was when Jim Carrey miserably cries inside the car alone after realizing the harshness of a breakup. I was sort of like that too actually when I broke up with my first boyfriend so I can totally feel him! I've been crying everyday for, I believe, at least a good month! It was baaaad. From this scene, I found out that the movie has done a such a good job in expressing how heartbreaking and frustrating it is to part with lovers. I also discovered how Jim Carrey can be a total sweetheart at times too <3
Anyways. This movie is also sort of like Inception in some ways but in a way of containing more feelings and romantic features in it. (I personally prefer this movie to Inception though :P)
I can definitely make a shout out for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as the best romantic film in the 21st century.
